A Holiday Manifesto
Thanksgiving is less than a week away, followed by Black Friday, and full-on Christmas bustle. I find that if I’m not intentional during this time of year, things go awry quickly. So.
This holiday season:
I will think carefully before making a commitment. Because every “yes” is a “no” to something else.
I will put mine and my family’s sanity ahead of decorating, baking, cooking, and attending parties.
I will spend less time thinking about presents and more time practicing presence.
I will enjoy yummy treats without gorging or guilt.
I will be intentionally thankful.
I will participate in Advent with my family. Because there’s nothing more important than focusing on the reason for anticipation, hope, expectation, joy, and love.
What are some of your priorities during this holiday season?
