Stuff we did and loved in October

Around Town & Around the World

Dan climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise money for this ministry.

He also visited Gombe National Park.

Meanwhile, the kids and I visited their cousins, aunts, and uncles and went to SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium.

The weekend after Dan got home, I left to speak at a women’s retreat in Indiana. We talked about the story of Hagar and how even though she was invisible to those around her, she wasn’t invisible to God. We also talked about fear, shame, joy, and freedom. I had a great time sharing God’s word and hanging out with some great women.

This month we also watched pumpkins begin carved, picked some apples, Trunk or Treated, and just generally did too much.

Dan and I went to South Bend on whim to watch the Cubs play on the big screen at Four Winds Field. I was so proud of our spontaneity until the next day when I was exhausted by it.

Have you watched This is Us?! It reminds me of Parenthood. Except, as my friend says, on steroids. The storylines are complicated and amazing in all the amazing and complicated ways of real life. Check it out!

I wrote about some new Spotify playlists I love here.

I’ve been doing lots of reading over the last few months which I can’t wait to share with you soon!

What did you do and love in October?

Linking up with Leigh Kramer.
